Today I’ve been having the hardest time coming up with the right word. I’m not usually the most eloquent, part of why i wanted to start blogging was to practice expressing my thoughts, but today was especially bad.
The worst was talking to a recently promoted coworker, and i couldn’t think of the word. “Congrats,” I said “on the um… new job thing! You know the word I mean, right?” He smiled and laughed and was generally polite, but when a minute later i went “Promotion! Congrats on the promotion! is what i meant,” we both felt awkward. At least he knows I meant well, right?
